Our Story
Before I moved to Canada, I was an entrepreneur working in a department store in Kyoto, Japan. During that time I met many craftmakers and I was fascinated by their sensitivity and philosophy and fell in love with products made slow and steady with heart.
TSUMUGI is the name of a kimono in Japanese.
It also means pulling words together to make a story. The process of making both take perseverance and time. My shop's aim is to bring these artists into North America and make our own story.
I hope to deliver the artist's thoughts and feelings to you, and bring you something extraordinary in your daily life.
I am a wife and also a mother of a 8yo girl living in Richmond BC.
