Lovely crafted earrings by Shoko Miyazaki, a designer-maker based in Kyoto Japan.
"I have loved drawing and knitting since I was a child. After graduating from college, I worked for a general company, but I suddenly wanted to work in the field of craftsmanship, so I left the company and went to a metal engraving school.
My knowledge of knitting and accessory making is basically self-taught, but now I think that what I learned at the metal carving school was very useful."
After her schooling,Shoko started making accessories under the brand name of "Count my beads". She has her own select shop called "Margaret" in Kyoto.
As well as using metal, beads and other materials, most of lace she uses is hand knitted.
"I like the process of making things in a slow and steady manner.
I think this is a happy job where I can share my favorite sense of style with others."
We are so happy to introduce her beautiful works from her growing collection.
